Kathleen Harrington has two paintings accepted in the 25th Annual Miniature Art Exhibition at the Council for the Arts of Chambersburg Pennsylvania."Ocean Surf" was accepted as was "Morning Light" which won an honorable mention. There were 392 entries from 120 artists. The Council was able to accept 180 pieces. The opening reception is November 5th.

The Travel Exhibition of The Ohio Watercolor Society kicks off its trip around the state with a month-long stop in November at The Medina County District Library sponsored by The Medina County Art League and includes many weekend demonstrations that are free and open to the public. This exclusive travel exhibition is made up of 40 paintings by Ohio’s foremost watercolor artists, award winners and paintings selected by juror Cheng-Khee-Chee from Watercolor Ohio 2009 held earlier this year. The exhibit can be seen at the main branch of the library in the third floor atrium and can be seen during regular library hours. The library is located at 210 S. Broadway Street, Medina, Ohio 44256. Regional Northeast Ohio artists included in this exhibit are: Cynthia Allman and Frederick C. Sally Heston Show

Sally Heston writes to us - "I have a show at the Gallery 732 at the Akron Women's City Club this month and the opening reception will be this coming Friday evening from 6-8pm. All are invited to join me. I have 22 new paintings on display. The city club is located at 732 W. Exchange Street in Akron."

Silk Painting with Margot Eiseman

Monday evening we enjoyed a demonstration of painting on silk by Margot Eiseman Margot showed us the techniques she uses and took questions from the group.
She brought along a variety of her finished paintings.

Meetings: Meetings are held the first and third Monday of each
month at 7:30 in the Barlow Community Center on Oviatt
Street in Hudson (south of Streetsboro Rd, SR 303). We
meet September to June (no meetings in July & August).
The Midwinter Show is in Feb./Mar.; the Clothesline Art
Show is in June; and The Art on the Green is at the end of
August. There are five newsletters during the year.
