Members Critique on November 4, 2013

The program for Monday, November 4, will be a critique. Members may bring up to 2 artworks which will be commented on during the critique.

Instead of our usual meeting room, we will be in the auditorium on the 4th. Time and place otherwise remains the same:

News from Pam Daum

Pam has been a busy artist this summer, with her work included in exhibits around the country:
  • Pam's work was selected to be a part of “The Story of the Creative,” a seven week international exhibit. The installed digital exhibition ran in See.Me’s New York City gallery, from July 25 through September 10.
  • Three of her photographs were selected for “Exposures: Unaltered Images” at Valley Art Center, Chagrin Falls, which ran from September 6 through October 10.
  • She is exhibiting in the Stew Pot Kitchen in Akron.
  • Pam was also the featured artist at the Hudson Library in June & July.

October 21: Bob Moyer Watercolor demo

On Monday, October 21, Bob will demonstrate his gorgeous watercolor technique for us. Bob is an award-winning artist and a popular instructor. Don't miss this one - it's sure to be something special.

UPDATE: 
When Bob finished his demo, he donated the painting to HSA.  We drew a name for one lucky attendee to take the painting home. Donna Ransom was our winner! Congratulations, Donna! And thanks, Bob!

October 10, HeART of Hudson Artwalk, 5-9pm

For one night only, Hudson will be alive with art! Painting, sculpture, glass, music, chalk artists, art classes, and more. The town's shops will host artists and  entertainment will be in the streets.

Start your walk at the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation at 5:00 for a kickoff reception, pick up a map, then choose from dozens of locations and events for the evening.

Members of the Hudson Society of Artists will have their work at the Old Church on the Green through the evening. See work by Barbara Faulkner, Gale Haller, Ann Kah, Lucy Karslake, Michelle Knapper, Evelyn Martindale, Rhonda Mitchell, Judy Pinckard, and Kathleen Harrington.

Shannon Casey will have her studio open at 70 W. Streetsboro St. (near Self Storage Zone) and will teach a drawing class.

Dana Ray will have her brand new studio space open at 220 N. Main St (above My Little Red Wagon). She creates unique chainmaille jewelry under the name Bellabor Art Jewelry, and is sharing the studio with Karen Koch (Life Needs Art).

Karen Koch will display her work at In Style Accessories in First & Main.
