Gary Bagnato and Karen Koch have their entries at Akron Glass Works, 106 N. Main Street.
The Akron
Art Prize is a people's choice award, which means that prizes are
determined by the number of votes an artwork receives. Please stop out
to Akron during the show and take an opportunity to vote. The entries
are on display at Zeber-Martell, Akron Glass Works, The Nightlight,
Palladian Palette, Summit Artspace Gallery.
The voting continues through October 4.

Hilary Sheeter's One-Man Show
Our own Hilary Sheeter is having a one-man show of at the Akron Women's City Club.
The opening reception is this Thursday, September 4, from 5-7pm, and will include Italian wines and other light refreshments.
The show closes Friday, September 26.

This year's Juror of Awards is Lawrence J. Churski whose professional art studies began in 1963 when he received a full scholarship to Cleveland's Cooper School of Art and whose education was furthered at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Mr. Churski later joined Artists Incorporated - an Akron, Ohio-based graphic design studio - where he eventually became owner and president. In that period, he won numerous illustration and design awards including one from National Addy, the world's largest advertising competition. In 1994 he bought "The Mill at Yellow Creek", a restored 1830 grist mill, which now houses the Lawrence J. Churski Gallery. It's nestled in the beautiful woods of Bath, Ohio, along Yellow Creek.

2014 Art on the Green
The 2014 Art on the Green will take place
Saturday, August 23: 10am - 5pm
Sunday, August 24: 11am - 5pm
More than 150 artists will show their original artwork. Many favorite artists are returning to this show, as well as plenty of newcomers.
Art on the Green is held outdoors, rain or shine.
Look for the tents at the corner of Rt. 91 and Ravenna Road just south of Rt. 303 in beautiful historic Hudson, Ohio.
