The Alliance for Visual Arts in Akron presents the Kaleidoscope 2006 show at Summit Art Space. This is a juried exhibition of work by its members – Akron Society of Artists, Artists of Rubber City, Cuyahoga Valley Art Center and the Women’s Art league.
The jurors were Lynnda Arrasmith, Curator of Collections at the Canton Museum of Art and Frederick Graff, AWS, NWS, TWSA and one of today’s foremost watercolorists.
Hudson resident Kathleen Harrington has two paintings accepted into the show. Both pieces are abstract works on canvas.
There is an opening reception Friday November 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 m at the gallery, 140 East Market Street . www.summitartspace.org
The show hangs from Nov. 17, 2006 to January 6, 2007. The “Kaleidoscope Award”, selected by popular vote of gallery visitors, will be presented during Akron’s "First Night” activities on New Year’s Eve.
