The Alliance for the Visual Arts presents its 7th annual juried show November 21 - January 3 at SummitArtSpace. The opening reception is Friday Nov 20th from 6 - 8 pm
The painting used for publicity for the show is by Judy Gaiser.

Meeting

We want to offer a special thanks to Judy Gaiser for agreeing to fill in for the scheduled artist who cancelled at the last moment. Judy is a past president of the Akron Society of Artists, a graduate of the Cleveland Institue of Art and a student of Frank Wilcox.
Judy brought her oils,a large canvas and her delightful personality to our November 2meeting. She painted her version of Baba-gaga, the witch of Russian folklore.

Meetings

Just a quick reminder that the meeting on Monday night, Nov. 2, will be held at Hudson High School. The speaker will be Terri Durst, Cleveland professor. He will give a program on abstract art.

Kathleen Harrington has two paintings accepted in the 25th Annual Miniature Art Exhibition at the Council for the Arts of Chambersburg Pennsylvania."Ocean Surf" was accepted as was "Morning Light" which won an honorable mention. There were 392 entries from 120 artists. The Council was able to accept 180 pieces. The opening reception is November 5th.
