Free Art Supplies Distributed in Akron on Saturday Feb. 21st and 28th~Noon to 4pm

Stop by Saturday 2/21 and 2/28 from Noon to 4pm to browse and collect quality art materials. Items available at no charge include fabrics, wallcovering books, carpet tiles, framing/matting supplies, three ring binders, and ceramic tiles. These materials are brand new and are suitable for graphic arts, performing arts, and creative arts programs.

Since 2006, over 150,000 pounds of materials bound for the waste stream have been donated by architects, interior designers, and manufacturers to ZeroLandfill project teams to be distributed to arts educators and artists. Akron now joins Boston, Cincinnati, and Cleveland as ZeroLandfill communities.

Join us as we rethink disposal practices and reclassify waste from a burden on society to an economic asset for our communities. RSVP is not required, please bring your own bags or boxes. Feel free to forward this information to friends and colleagues.

ZeroLandfill Akron is located at 30 N. High Street between West Market and Perkins downtown

Other Blogs

I thought it would be fun to share other artists blogs on our site. I came across this one today that describes an art demo at an artist group in California.

There are so many interesting blogs that you could spend your whole day surfing the net reading them.
If you have links you would like to share or experiences that you would like to write about let me know!
