Fall 2014 Program Schedule

Looking for something fun and artistic to do on a Monday evening? Try watching well-known local artists talk about how they create paintings using their own techniques.

Our program schedule for the remainder of 2014 is:

• Sept. 15: Jack Mulhollen. Watercolor demo.
• Oct. 6: Chris Leeper. Acrylic. demo
• Oct. 20: Gary Williams. Mixed media. Painting and collage
• Nov 3: No meeting 
• Nov 17: Michael Winston. Magic marker painting demo
• Dec 1: HSA dinner

Programs are held at the Barlow Community Center, 41 S. Oviatt Street, in Hudson, and begin at 7:30.

They are free and open to the public.  Please feel free to join us and bring a friend!

Farmer's Markets at the Morgan Gallery

 

Opening: September 12, 5-8pm (with Artist talks at 6pm)

HSA members are displaying colorful artworks representing the luscious bounty of Farmer's Markets. The opening reception will take place during Hudson's 2nd Friday Art Hop on September 12.

The exhibit is on display now through October 27.

 

The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Art Gallery is located at 10 W. Streetsboro St, Hudson, OH.

Akron Art Prize

Opening: Saturday, September 6, 5-10pm

Several HSA members have entered the Akron Art Prize competition:

Gretchen Bierbaum, Shannon Casey, Katina Radwanski are displaying their entries at Zeber-Martell Gallery, 43 Furnace Street.

Gary Bagnato and Karen Koch have their entries at Akron Glass Works, 106 N. Main Street.

The Akron Art Prize is a people's choice award, which means that prizes are determined by the number of votes an artwork receives. Please stop out to Akron during the show and take an opportunity to vote. The entries are on display at Zeber-Martell, Akron Glass Works, The Nightlight, Palladian Palette, Summit Artspace Gallery.

The voting continues through October 4.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church

Opening: Sunday, September 7, noon to 2 p.m

HSA members are showing original artwork at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Akron. Please join us for the opening reception on Sunday the 7th.

The show continues through October 30.

Hilary Sheeter's One-Man Show

Our own Hilary Sheeter is having a one-man show of at the Akron Women's City Club.

The opening reception is this Thursday, September 4, from 5-7pm, and will include Italian wines and other light refreshments.

The show closes Friday, September 26.

Akron Women's City Club is located at 732 W. Exchange Street (at S. Portage Path).
