Call for sculptors The city of Solon, through Solon Center for the Arts, is looking for a sculptor to interpret the following descriptive words defined by those who live, work and play in the Solon community: a city of vision, diversity, service, education and community. The City has allotted $10,000.00 toward the commissioning of this sculpture, plus additional funds for the base. Artist may view the space to determine size and style. Three-dimensional mockups submissions are due Friday, September 12, 2008 at 4:00 pm. Art-a-Palooza - The Green Arts Council invites you to join us in a celebration of the arts in the City of Green at our fourth annual Art-a-Palooza festival on August 30, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. around the pond at beautiful Boettler Park, located at 5300 Massillon Road.
